Harry Shooman and Mo Juwara both score in a 2-0 win against East Grinstead at the Enclosed Ground as Whitehawk extend their unbeaten start to the season.

The deadlock was finally broken five minutes into the second half, after an uninspiring first half, Joel Daly ran through but his chipped effort struck the bar but Harry Shooman was there almost on the goal line to nod it in for the home side.

A red card was shown late on for East Grinstead’s Shea Cascoe Rogers after a strong challenge on Joel Daly.

In the dying minutes Mo Juwara scored to add insult to injury and make it 2-0 to the Hawks, after going one on one and slotting it past Pierson.

East Grinstead thought they had put themselves one up in the first half through Matthew Daniel only for the linesman to cut his and the travelling fans celebrations short.

A save of the season contender for the East Grinstead goalkeeper Matte Pierson from a Charlie Lambert effort, he tipped a powerful shot onto the bar helped to keep his side just the one goal down.

Will Miles of Whitehawk had a long range effort saved which was the pick of a bad bunch of chances in the opening 45 minutes, whilst the Whitehawk striker partnership, Rob O’toole and Charlie Lambert spent majority of the half being flagged offside.

Whitehawk were a frustrated team in the first half, however their attacking freedom was on display for everyone to witness in the second half.

Overall 2-0 was a fair score line for the Hawks who took their chances in the second half.
