Home   /   Tielemans’ venomous volley gives Leicester all three points at Goodison

Yuri Tielemans provides contender for goal of the season, with Harvey Barnes finishing brilliantly securing 2-0 away win at Everton in the Premier League.

The first half was full of half-chances, with Alex Iwobi missing a sitter to give the home-side the lead in the opening five minutes. Both teams continued to create chances without really testing the keepers.

However, The half ended with two bangs… literally, as a meter-long rocket stick was found on the pitch, bringing the game to a brief halt. But the biggest bang came off Yuri Tielemans’ right foot with a sumptuous volley into the top left corner, leaving Pickford helpless.

Harvey Barnes then doubled the lead late in the game with a brilliant finish on his left foot to secure all three points for the foxes.

Everton started the second half the brighter side, with Calvert Lewin through on goal but Ward made himself big and denied him with his knee.

The momentum started swinging in Leicester’s favour, with Madison coming close to doubling the away-sides lead but his effort struck the outside of the post.

The home side kept the pressure on but it was too little too late as Barnes’ goal was the nail on the coffin.
