Preview

Both teams will look to redeem themselves after losing their Champions League game a couple of days ago. Also, it is a game to fight for the fourth place which is occupied at the moment by Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have lost their two last games and do not win in La Liga since October. Zidane is on the ropes and his job wil probably depend on how well they play today without Eden Hazard.

On the other hand, Sevilla come from being battered against Chelsea. However, despite their loss, they did not lose on November meaning that their performances during the last month has been phenomenal.

Sevilla can´t handle Real Madrid´s pressure. Yassine Bono tried clearing the ball but Vinicius pressed very high and therefore the ball bounced off him and almost scored again.

Pau Jordan crosses a ball but neither Munir El Haddadi or Luuk De Jong make a contact with the ball.

Kross takes a freekick in which Bono misses the ball but Casemiro doesn´t take advantage of the mistake and gives the ball back to Sevilla.

It is a tight game in which both teams are pressing high to hinder their opponents. Real Madrid have had multiple chances to score whilst Sevilla don´t know how to threaten Zidane´s team.

Vinicius delivers the ball to Toni Kroos who consequently smacks the ball from outside the ball but skimms the post.

Lucas Ocampos against Nacho Fernandez who was the last men of his team, takes a touch and bounces off to Nacho´s arm but the referee does not see it.

If Nacho hadn´t touch the ball, Ocampos would´ve gone on a one on one with Courtois.

The last ten minutes of the game have been quite calm despite the attempts from the away team. Both keepers are having a period of relaxation due to lack of precision from both teams.

Sanchez Martinez asks the players to calm down after some people getting aroused due to Modric taking doen Rakitic.

Lucas Vazquez delivers a pass to Vincius who lets it go through his legs and Benzema who is behind, places it at the far post but Bono makes a superb save deflecting it to corner.

Thibaut Courtois blocks Sevilla´s corner. The Belgian hasn´t had many appearances during the game but when it´s needed he does his job.

Kroos gets sees the first yellow card of the game as he tooked down Ocampos who tried to countterattack.

Munir goes down and it seems like the player is injured. We´ll see if he will be able to continue after halftime.


HALFTIME

Halftime and the score hasn´t changed. Real Madrid has been the team closest to score however Bono has made a couple of saves despite his inital errors.

Sevilla on the other hand, haven´t really had a good chance to score and on top of all this, it seems likely that Munir is injured.

Ferland Mendy delivers a low cross to Vincius who slides in and taps it. Bono very naive waitss for the ball instead of attacking the ball. Bad game for the Moroccan keeper.

Suso takes another shot but this time Mendy blocks it and deflects to corner.

Horrendous counterattack from Real Madrid.

Vinicius drove forward and chose to pass it to Benzema who then failed to deliver the pass to Asensio. Shocking.


END SEV 0-1 RMA

Real Madrid beats Sevilla and finish their winless run. Los Blancos climb to the third place of the table. A solo goal from Vincius put Madrid in front and at the end they take all three points.

In contrast, Sevilla could potentially drop down out of the Europa League positions and chain to defeats in a row. Lopetegui´s team did play well and had the control of the game, however, only had a couple of shots.
