Kick-Off: Thursday 17th November 2020, 8:00pm
Sheffield United will be renewing their search for a first Premier League win of the season as they take on Manchester United at Bramall Lane on Thursday evening.
The Blades have only picked up just the one point from their 12 games so far this campaign – the worst start to a league campaign in history – welcome a Manchester United team who have been flawless away from home winning nine straight away Premier League outings.Embed from Getty Images
A win on Thursday would see United become only the fourth side in English top-flight history to record 10 successive away victories, while they could also become the first team to score two or more goals in 10 successive top-flight games since Tottenham Hotspur more than 60 years ago.
Chris Wilder is still without long-term absentee Jack O’Connell, while Oli McBurnie is a major doubt after landing heavily on his shoulder during the defeat to Southampton.
Kean Bryan is the Blades only other injury concern, but Wilder could still shuffle his pack with John Lundstram, Lys Mousset and Max Lowe all pushing to start.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Edinson Cavani is doubtful to play against Sheffield United. The Manchester United boss doesn’t want to risk him after picking up a knock in the win at West Ham. He said: “Edinson [Cavani] has done well in rehab, still have to make the decision if we should risk him, it is a little bit to risk him too early, I’d doubt him to be available to pick tomorrow.”
Anthony Martial was only deemed fit enough for the bench in the derby but could come back into the starting XI for this match in place of Paul Pogba whose agent has once again been in the news regarding the midfielder’s future.Embed from Getty Images
Alex Telles could return to the starting XI, after sitting out the derby and it is unlikely Solskjaer will drop De Gea as Henderson will be amped to face the club he joined on-loan from Old Trafford.
