A big game for Manchester City in their bid in winning the Premier League title against a tough opponent in Leicester City. Manchester City is on a great run off form and are getting closer to their third league titles in four years.

Going into the game Leicester City have four games in a row including an impressive 3-1 victory against Manchester United in the quarter-final just before the international break.

Manchester City are currently 14 points ahead of Manchester United in second place in the Premier League. The Cityzens have been superb in 2021 where they have won every game in all competitions apart from one against Manchester United.

Leicester City

James Maddison is available after a hip injury that he suffered against Aston Villa in February. In his pre-match press conference Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers said: “Clearly, he’s not 100 per cent match fit but, in terms of his football fitness, he looks great.”

Ricardo Pereira is also available for his side again after getting a thigh injury before the international break against Sheffield United. Leicester will be missing Harvey Barnes due to a knee injury that he suffered against Arsenal in late February.

Manchester City

Manchester City have no injuries coming into the game this Saturday. But, they have had a lot of players that played for their countries during the international week.

John Stones, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling all started for England Wednesday night against Poland. Manchester City had a total of 15 first team players playing International football in the past week.

With the Champions League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund during the week Pep Guardiola might rotate some players at the weekend.

Previous Game

When the two teams played each other earlier in the season Leicester City dominated Manchester City with a brilliant 5-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City was able to score an early goal thanks to some brilliance from Riyad Mahrez.

However, Manchester City collapsed as they went 4-1 down due to a hat-trick from Jamie Vardy and a goal from Maddison. Nathan Ake got his team back into the game with his first goal for his new side in the 84th minute but Youri Tielemans finished off the games in the 88th minute.
