James Maddison reaches 50 goals as Leicester beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 for their first win of the Premier League season.

After Taiwo Awoniyi clipped the post in the 22nd minute Leicester turned on the heat scoring 3 goals outside the box within 10 minutes of each other.

The account was opened by a deflected shot from Maddison off Scott Mckenna in the 25th minute wrong footing the helpless Dean Henderson.

Only 35 seconds after the match resumed from a Forest kick-off a curling effort from Barnes put them 2-0 up, assisted by Jamie Vardy.

This was then quickly followed up by a stunning free kick in the 35th minute from Maddison to mark a half-century of goals for the Foxes.

Leicester continued to dominate the ball until half time to the delight and relief of manager Brendan Rogers whose side were on track to break a streak of 5 consecutive losses.

Super sub Patson Daka, brought on in the 62nd minute for Vardy, flicks the ball to Henderson’s near post from a pacey low driven cross from Maddison to compile the misery on Steve Coopers side.

No surprise but the MOTM tonight was Maddison who has given his manager some breathing room while defeat for forest piles on the pressure for Cooper.
