An unbelievable world championships for team GB has only gotten better with another medal being added to the tally.

Jessica Gadirova was also joined on the podium by the USA’s Shilese Jones in silver and Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade taking Gold.

Andrade has put her name not just in the gymnastics history books tonight, but also in Brazil’s as she is their first-ever gymnast to win an all-around medal at these events. She came in second at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but this time around with an impressive final score of 56.899 the glory was all hers.

Just outside the medal positions was Alice Kinsella along with Canada’s Ellie Black in fifth and the other US athlete Jade Carey in sixth.

The fight for the bronze medal did come down to the final rotation with four of the gymnasts all being in with a shot but it was the floor, Gadirova’s favourite apparatus, that she finished on which allowed her to score a huge 14.400.

It is now over to the men tomorrow with Jake Jarman and Joe Fraser competing in the men’s all-around final where they will be hoping to achieve the same feat that Gadirova achieved today.
