Brighton will look to make it back-to-back consecutive league wins as they welcome Premier League champions Liverpool to the AMEX in the early kick off on Saturday.

It will be a tough test for the Seagulls who have failed to beat The Reds in a top-flight home game, having drawn three and lost four. Brighton come into the game off the back of a 2-1 away win over Aston Villa whilst Liverpool’s last league game was a 3-0 demolition of Leicester.

Brighton will be without right-back Tariq Lamptey as he serves a one match suspension following the two yellow cards he picked up in the win against Villa.  Winger Leandro Trossard is fit and will be available, whilst Adam Lallana will be assessed to face his former club. Alexis MacAllister remains unavailable with coronavirus, but Davy Propper returns from illness.

As for Liverpool, Mohammed Salah is likely to start following his self-isolation period, with the Egyptian having featured in their midweek Champions League game with Atalanta. Jordon Henderson and Thiago Alcantara both missed out in that fixture but will be assessed before the trip to the South coast. Defender Rhys Williams is a doubt and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk all remain out.

A win for Liverpool would temporarily move them top of the league ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures, where as a win for Brighton would see them move level on points with Manchester City in 13th.

Score prediction: Brighton 1-2 Liverpool
