When asked about the visitors’ recent performances in his press conference, Villa Manager Unai Emery said: “I respect them a lot. I watched the match against Everton and the draw last week at Forest after they were losing 2-0. Their reaction was amazing.”

Despite the fact that Luton have only collected five points from nine games this season, Manager Rob Edwards insists that his side will be ready for the challenge of stopping Villa’s attack. In his pre-match conference, Edwards confirmed: “We are well aware of the size of the challenge…it is not scary, it is why we wanted to be here.”

INJURIES

Villa: Jacob Ramsey, Alex Moreno, Tyrone Mings, Emiliano Buendia

Luton Town: Reece Burke, Mads Andersen, Amari’I Bell, Jordan Clark, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Dan Potts

PLAYER TO WATCH

Ollie Watkins: The striker from Torquay has been in great scoring form so far this season, putting away five goals and getting five assists in nine Premier League matches. He will be looking to capitalise on the Hatters’ weak defence which have already conceded 17 goals this season.
