Subedited by Oscar Tucker.

Good evening, my name is Ted Burchell and today I’ll be running you through todays cup clash that sees Eastbourne Town FC host Midhurst and Easebourne in the Sussex senior cup on this exciting Tuesday night at the Saffrons.

An exciting prospect to watch tonight is Eastbourne Town’s number 15 Leke Ademola who starts in the bench but will hopefully come on to light up the pitch in the second half.

And the Line-ups are here!

Here is how the home team has decided to line up: Captain Simon Johnson returns from injury just in time for this tie while young talent Leke Ademola will look to make an impact from the bench.

0′ KICK-OFF

2′ Chance for Eastbourne Town, however the crowds excitement short lived as the linesman’s flag goes up after a delicious ball is drifted over the Midhurst backline towards Bedford but he fails to time his run.

11′ GOAL!

22′ A fabulous goal-line clearance prevents Eastbourne Town from making the score three-nil after a burst of attacking play for the home side, Midhurst are soaking up the pressure in this first half.

33′ GOAL!

Eastbourne Town 3-0 Midhurst and Easebourne – Eastbourne Town’s Aaron Capon is played through the defence 1-on-1 and very calmly slots the ball through Bird’s legs as it rolls into the back of the net, a lovely move from Eastbourne Town.

36′ Corner for Eastbourne Town comfortably batted away by the keeper, should have done better there.

41′ Near miss for Midhurst, their best chance of the game so far, Marcus Bedford fires wide from just inside the box.

Second half KICK-OFF

50′ GOAL!

Eastbourne Town 4-0 Midhurst and Easebourne – 5 minutes after coming on, Ademola has made it 4-0 for the home side in a move which saw him run in behind the Midhurst defence showing off his blistering pace. It wasn’t all smooth sailing though, as he accidently played a scary one-two with the post before passing the ball into the back of an open net.

59′ GOAL!

Eastbourne Town 5-0 Midhurst and Easebourne – A phenomenal 30-yard half volley from Samways while the keeper was lost in no man’s land on the edge of the box from Jack Samways sees the home side storm into a 5-0 lead.

68′ GOAL!

Eastbourne Town 6-0 Midhurst and Easebourne – Ademola uses his lightning pace to run in behind the defence down the right side, before rounding the keeper and squaring the ball to Fletcher Holman who places the ball into the open net, the easiest goal he may ever score.

87′ HOW HAS HE MISSED THAT? Ademola sends the ball over the stand from 6 yards after Holman squares the ball nicely towards him. It should be 7-0!
