Home   /   AFC Fylde vs Barnet FC – Preview

Barnet will aim to strengthen playoff position when they take on in-form Fylde at Mill Farm Stadium.

The Bees come into the game off the back of a comfortable 3-0 win versus Welling United to progress to the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy. However, Barnet’s league form has been patchy as of late having gone three matches without a win.

They will have to pick themselves up after an agonising end to their London derby against Wealdstone in their most recent game, when Corie Andrews struck a 99th minute equaliser to sink the hosts.

The away side mustn’t underestimate The Coasters based on their league position. Despite being 17th Fylde have been on a four game win streak – most notably dispatching Aldershot Town in a 5-0 thrashing last time out.

The last time these sides met Barnet snatched a 2-1 victory in a dramatic finish at The Hive, thanks to a 97th minute winner from their top scorer Nicke Kabamba. Interestingly, Flyde haven’t beaten Barnet since April 2019.

With league leaders Chesterfield meeting Bromley on the same matchday, Barnet have the special opportunity to leapfrog The Ravens into second with a win.
