Hello, I’m Alex and I am here today to take you through the morning game in Italy between Venezia and Roma. Both sides are in need of a win today, so hopefully it makes for an exciting encounter.

9′ VAR still checking AND IT’S GIVEN AS OFFSIDE! No penalty for Roma as there was an offside in the build up.

14′ David Okereke with a half chance, he shows his strength then fires at goal, but the shot is way over

20′ Eldor Shomurodov shoots just wide from the edge of the box, Venezia keep getting caught when passing the ball from the back

26′ Roma now starting to take control of the game, dominating the possession and the game being played in Venezia’s half

27′ Roma SO close to and equaliser. Firstly, Abraham hits the post from close range, then the follow up by Stephan El Shaarawy is blocked, and the third shot from Veretout goes over the bar.

35′ Roma getting closer and closer here, a shot by Pellegrini is saved low by the keeper

36′ Venezia with a great chance to double their lead. Okereke charges downvthe left and his shot curls just wide of the goal

36′ ANOTHER CHANCE. Sofian Kiyine should score this. First time effort inside the box is save comfortably by Rui Patricio, if the shot was more towards the corner then he would have had no chance

40′ Another quick VAR check on a potential foul on Abraham, but it’s waved away

43′ Abraham wins the header in the box and Sergio Romero pushes away but Shomurodov is there to cancel out Caldara’s early strike. 1-1 here

45+2′ Shomurodov turns into provider, as his cross meets Abraham, who controls the ball nicely and buries his chance. Roma have turned it around, 2-1 to the away side

HALF TIME: VENEZIA 1-2 ROMA

A thrilling first half at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium, as Venezia take an early lead through Caldara, but in the last five minutes of the half Roma turn it around and take a 2-1 lead into the break

46′ Venezia make a change, with Arnór Sigurðsson coming on to replace Domen Črnigoj

47′ Kiyine is booked for pulling back Pellegrini just outside the box

48′ Haps clear the ball of the line acrobatically, a great clearance

56′ Shomurodov creates another chance for Roma and this time for El Shaarawy, who should score but hits it straight at Romero

61′ Kiyine has an effort which goes just wide of the goal, after a nice bit of interplay on the edge of the box

74′ Okereke finds his way to being through on goal, and with his left foot slots it past Patricio. VAR will check this one for offside. Jose Mourinho looks FUMING, Roma can’t stop conceding goals recently.

90′ incredible chance for the substitute Henry. With his first touch, he hits the crossbar with a side footed volley on the edge of the box

FULL TIME: VENEZIA 3-2 ROMA

WOW! INCREDIBLE GAME! Roma come from behind to take a 2-1 lead going into half time, but in the second half it flips back the other way and Venezia come out with their best result in Serie A this season. We will all look back on this classic for years to come, and we won’t see many better games this season in Europe. That result pushes Venezia up to 14th in the league, whilst it’s all going wrong for Roma, who stay 5th for now
