Aliou Cisse says his side need to change tactics in order for this side to qualify for the last 16.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s game against Ecuador Cisse said:
“We have to think about the appropriate approach to the last match.
“Our concentration must be better as we could have avoided that goal we conceded [aganist Qatar], but the Ecuador match will be different.”
The Teranaga Lions have to beat Ecuador on Tuesday to be certain of going through to the last 16.
Cisse’s side is still without their main man Sadio Mane as he is still out with an injury.
Speaking on how his side is dealing without Mane Cisse said:
“The team did what I asked for. Teamwork is the basis. Yes, it is difficult to replace Sadio, but in the end, it is a team sport”
Ecuador also needs to win this game in order to secure their place in the last 16.
Ecuador could be without their star man Enner Valencia as he was carried off in the 90th minute following a knee injury after registering a third goal of the tournament.
Head coach Gustavo Alfaro suggested that the forward should be fine: “He’s going through such a good spell, and I am so happy for him”
