The 2020 IPL final is between defending champions Mumbai Indians and first-time finalists the Dehli Capitals. The two sides were first and second in the IPL table meaning it is the best of the best who will be fighting it out. The Indians beat the Capitals in the first semi-final by 57 runs. The Capitals were able to qualify for the final after they beat the winner of the eliminator Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs in the second semi-final.
The defending champions are the favourites going into the game thanks to a Man of the Match performance from Bumrah who bowled very well in the game. The Capitals couldn’t handle the way Bumrah bowling in the semi-final as he returned final figures of 4/14. Also, the Indians batting lineup consists of Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard which shows they have a lot of power and skill to get many runs on the board.
The Capitals are in their first-ever final thanks to their victory in Sunday’s semi-final win. The Capitals will be hoping for better performance compared to the last time they played the Indians which saw the 2019/20 champions win by 57 runs. Marcus Stoinis being moved up the batting order in their last game really helped his side get off to a good start with their recent opener’s form not being up to scratch. Shikhar Dhawan is hoping for a big performance for his side with the bat and Kagiso Rabada will be hoping to continue his fine form with the ball and get the necessary wickets for his side.
