After a hard-fought battle against the Turkish team, PSG eventually managed to turn on the style and come out of this game victorious. The score line in hindsight is unrepresentative of the match result, after a few worrying moments from the French champions that manager Thomas Tuchel will be less than impressed with.

After a poor first half performance the French giants, Istanbul will be kicking themselves that they did not take their chances. Rafael came closest with an effort from just outside the penalty area which worried Keylor Navas in the PSG goal.

PSG were weakened within 25 minutes after Neymar came off after picking up an injury, psychologically this could have affected his teammates as they know the attacking threat the Brazilian prevails.

Overall the match could have gone either way, but the home team looked firmly like causing an upset, having 17 attempts on the Paris goal, largely coming from Bosnian international Edin Visca, who panicked Keylor Navas on many occasions.

It was starting to look like the pressure was taking its toll on the away side. After their defeat on match day one to Manchester United, they knew that they had to realistically come out of this with a win or be in danger of being knocked out of the group. Moise Kean put this anxiety to bed following a goal in the 64th minute, which set the tone of this match and following his second goal late on in the half, the Parisiennes looked to unlock a solidity they had been struggling to find for the first hour of this contest.

The Turkish side continued to try and press but the quality that the away side possess eventually proved to be too much in the end and PSG take a well needed three points on match day two.
