Today the reigning champions, Liverpool are playing against relegation battling Fulham.

Liverpool are on a terrible run at home losing five games in a row at Anfield. Liverpool’s most recent defeat was against Chelsea during the week where they lost 1-0. Jürgen Klopp has made seven changes to his side that lost to Chelsea during the week. Three of these changes are in defence with Neco Williams, Rhys Williams and Nathaniel Phillips are in the team replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho and Ozan Kabak. In the midfield Thiago and Curtis Jones have been taken out of the midfield with James Milner and Naby Keïta in the side. Roberto Firmino is out of the side due to injury and is being replaced by the returning Diogo Jota. Xherdan Shaqiri is also in the side replacing Sadio Mane.

Fulham are currently in the relegation zone after losing to Tottenham during the week 1-0. The west London side has made two changes to their team that lost to Tottenham with Kenny Tete and Bobby Reid in the side replacing Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonee Robinson.

When the two sides played against each other earlier in the season they drew 1-1 thanks to a late penalty from Mohammed Salah. The last time this fixture took place Liverpool won 2-0 with Salah and Shaqiri scoring the two goals for Liverpool.

Today’s game at Anfield is starting soon as both sides are getting ready for kick off. Huge game for both sides as Liverpool are aiming for the top four and Fulham are battling for survival.

THE GAME HAS KICKED OFF.

3rd min: First chance of the game goes to Fulham after a brilliant cross out wide from Tete to Josh Maja but he couldn’t get the shot on target. Worrying signs for Klopp as Fulham almost took the lead early in the game.

5th min: Fulham will be happy with how things are going in the game so far. They are looking solid defensively and not letting players like Salah under pressure when he has the ball. They are also looking like they are able to score a goal and take the lead.

10th min: Fulham have done a good job keeping position in the game making things hard for Liverpool in attacking the away side.

11th min: Another chance for Fulham with Ademola Lookman cutting inside and getting a shot off but couldn’t get it on target. Liverpool haven’t started at all so far.

15th min: First chance for Liverpool with Salah on goal but the Egyptian couldn’t get a shot off with Aina defending well. Areola also done well stopping Salah from scoring.

19th min: Salah done well with a shot of after a long ball from Philips. The Egyptian is looking dangerous today and the player that is most likely to score for the home side.

23rd min: Klopp will start to be getting worried as his side is struggling to create chances in this game so far. Scott Parker will be happy with how things are going so far.

27th min: It’s been a flat game so far as their hasn’t been many chances for both teams.

30th min: Keita was able to get a shot off just outside the penalty area however, he couldn’t hit the ball cleanly and the shot went straight to Areola.

35th min: Huge chance for Lookman after getting through on goal after a brilliant pass from Reed. Unfortunately for Lookman Neco Williams done well to get back block the shot that went out for a corner.

37th min: YELLOW CARD FOR FULHAM. Tete gets the first yellow card of the game bring down Jota resulting a free kick.

38th min: Shaqiri almost score from a free kick where the ball hit the roof of the net.

42nd min: YELLOW CARD FOR LIVERPOOL. Jota picks up his sides first yellow card of the game today. The Portuguese player fouled Lemina by stepping on the achilles of the Fulham midfielder.

45th goal: GOAL FOR FULHAM. Lemina has scored a late goal in the first half as the away side take the lead again. Salah lost the ball on the edge of the penalty area as Lemina was able to tackle the Egyptian and get a shot off goal as the ball beats Alisson and goes in the bottom corner of the goal.

HALF TIME: Fulham have done well in the first half creating loads of chance and was able to take the lead at the end of the first half. Liverpool haven’t played well at all as Klopp will be fuming with how his side has played.

Both side are now coming out for the second half.

SECOND HALF HAS STARTED

46th min: YELLOW CARD FOR FULHAM. Lemina gets a early yellow card in the second half for pulling the shirt of Jota.

48th min: Brilliant save from Areola after a very well hit volley from Jota. First real thing the Fulham goalkeeper has had to do all game. Better from Liverpool who was very poor in the first half of the game.

52nd min: Liverpool has done better in the second half so far as they are creating chances and are finally putting the Fulham defence under pressure.

58th min: Shot from Neco Williams that just went wide of the Fulham goal. Liverpool are looking threatening in the second half unlike the first one. Mané is getting ready to come on for Liverpool.

60th min: First chance for Fulham in the second half with Ivan Cavaleiro running towards the Liverpool goal but couldn’t get the shot on target. Parker won’t be happy with the Portuguese winger wasting an opportunity to double his sides lead.

62nd min: Substitution for Liverpool. Mané has come on for Liverpool replacing Wijnaldum.

Parker will be delighted with how his side has performed this evening as it will be a huge three points for his side if they can hang on to this lead.

67th min: Substitution for Fulham. Maja is being replaced by the Chelsea loanee Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

70th min: Mané hits the crossbar! Mané hits the crossbar with a header after a good from Williams out wide.

72nd min: Close from Shaqiri. The Swiss midfielder almost found the top corner with a curling effort outside the penalty area.

75th min: 15 minutes left in this game as Liverpool are heading towards a sixth consecutive defeat at Anfield.

76th min: Substitutions for Liverpool. Milner and Neco Williams are off for Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho.

77th min: Keita tried scoring a equaliser for Liverpool with a spectacular volley that he completely messed up as the ball flew to row Z in the Kop.

80th min: Brilliant cross from Alexander-Arnold finding Mané but the Liverpool winger couldn’t get a clean header towards the goal. Liverpool are running out of time in this game. Fulham is getting closer to a very famous victory at Anfield.

83rd min: Substitution for Fulham. Lookman is being replaced by Antonee Robinson as they west London side are looking to help on to their lead.

85th min: Substitution for Fulham. Final substitution for Fulham as Aleksandar Mitrović is on for Cavaleiro.

Klopp will be frustrated with how things have gone in this game as his side as it looks like they are going to lose at home again.

89th min: Mitrović tried to finishing the game off with getting a shot on goal, unfortunately for the substitute the shot went straight to Alisson as the Liverpool keeper held the shot.

90th min: FOUR MINUTES OF ADDED TIME

92nd min: BRILLIANT DEFENDING FROM ANDERSEN. Fantastic defending from Andersen stopping Mané scoring a tap in. That feels like Liverpool’s chance to score an equaliser.

93rd min: YELLOW CARD FOR KEITA. The Liverpool midfielder stopped a Fulham counter attack and picks up a yellow card.

95th min: YELLOW CARD FOR FULHAM. The substitute Mitrović picks up a yellow card stopping Liverpool trying to score a equaliser.

FULL TIME: Huge result for Fulham defeating Liverpool at Anfield.

A massive result for Fulham getting three points at Anfield in their relegation battle. They remain in the relegation zone but they are now closer to Brighton and Newcastle. Liverpool’s home form is still a problem as they have lost six games in a row at Anfield where they have only scored one goal which was a penalty. They are currently in seventh place and are four points away from the Champions League places.

Next for Liverpool is RB Leipzig in the Champions League during the week where they are 2-0 up at Anfield. Fulham are against the league leaders Manchester City which will be another difficult game for them but they will have confidence after todays performance.
