Home   /   LIVE BLOG: UEFA Europa League Knockout Playoff 1st Leg, as it happened.

Hello, my name is Max Francis and I will be guiding you through the 1st leg between Feyenoord vs Roma in this spicy European encounter.

Here are the line ups for you:

The hosts line up without Alireza Jahanbakhsh who is out with a injury.

Thomas van den Belt, Quinten Timber, Lutsharel Geertruida, Justin Bijlow, Gjivai Zechiel and Gernot Trauner are still out with injuries.

How the away team line up this evening:

Tammy Abraham is the only injury for Roma tonight. Daniele De Rossi has a full squad for his first European match in charge of Roma.

The hosts warming up for the big game ahead in front of the passionate Feyenoord fans.

It’s the first fixture between the two since Roma’s demolishing against them at home in the Quarter-final; 2nd leg. Arne Slot’s men will be looking for sweet revenge in front of the hardcore backing of the passionate Feyenoord fans. They’ll try even harder to find goals without the main man Gimenez.

Daniele De Rossi will be looking for a night to remember in his first ever game managing in a European fixture.

We should be in for a very, very bumpy ride.

1′ – We are under way at the De Kuip.

2′ – It’s all Feyenoord in the first few minutes of this tie. Could the hosts find a early opener?

6′ – Mancini gives away a foul on the halfway whilst fighting to win the ball back.

7′ – Svilar is pressured by Minteh who ends up fouling the goalkeeper whilst trying to win the ball back. Svilar was pretty theatrical with it.

FULL-TIME: Feyenoord 1-1 AS Roma

It’s been a well fought and entertaining end to end tie here at the De Kuip as both Feyenoord and Roma have had many shots and their chances to win the game but the game somehow ends in a draw due both teams attackers not taking their precious chances and due to both goalkeepers making fantastic saves, especially in the first half. Feyenoord especially will be frustrated that they didn’t get the win in their at home but on the other hand d will be very much relieved that Roma didn’t make the most of he chances they had either. A combined 32 shots tonight with 18 from Feyenoord and 14 from Roma. Both teams will be very much frustrated that none of them won the game .Thank you for joining me for this entertaining fixture, good night.
