Home   /   Leyton Orient 1-0 Ebbsfleet United – As It Happened

Hello all, my name is Ishaaq and feel free to read my live blog of Saturday’s 3PM Kick-Off as Leyton Orient knocked out National League South side Ebbsfleet Town at the Brisbane Stadium in the first round of the FA Cup.

1′ Ebbsfleet United start on the front foot as Lee Martin’s effort is well blocked, 0-0.

6′ First shot on target for Leyton Orient as Harry Smith’s effort is well saved by Joshua Gould, 0-0.

18′ Ebbsfleet’s Sefa Kahraman tries his luck from 40 yards-out but his effort narrowly misses the left post, 0-0.

24′ GOAL- Leyton Orient take the lead through Aaron Drinan’s effort from an acute angle into the bottom corner- 1-0.

36′ The intensity of the game has appeared to decrease after the goal, with both teams giving away constant fouls and no real chances for either teams since the O’s took the lead, 1-0.

45′ Leyton Orient’s Theo Archibald’s effort from the edge of the box is high and wide- the only shot of the game since the goal, 1-0.

45+1′ Ebbsfleet’s Rakish Bingham attempts to get a late equaliser in the half but his effort is well blocked, 1-0.

47′ Ebbsfleet United’s Dominic Poleon takes a shot from the centre of the box but the strike is just wide of the post, 1-0.

53′ BOOKING- Leyton Orient’s Craig Clay receives the first yellow of the game for an accumulation of fouls, 1-0.

58′ BOOKING- Ebbsfleet United’s Ben Chapman goes into the book, 1-0.

59′ Ebbsfleet’s Bingham goes close again to levelling the score but his header goes just wide, very unlucky, 1-0.

62′ Bingham with ANOTHER chance to score with his effort from the edge of the box going just wide of the target, Ebbsfleet are threatening the O’s defense, 1-0.

66′ Leyton Orient close to doubling their lead with efforts from Hector Kyprianou and Harry Smith both being blocked, 1-0.

67′ Smith’s header from the penalty spot sails harmlessly over the bar, 1-0.

78′ Both sides giving away needless fouls- the games beginning to become rather scrappy, 1-0.

80′ Leyton Orient’s Daniel Kemp skies his effort from a difficult angle, 1-0.

85′ SUBSTITUTIONS FOR EBBSFLEET- Kieran Monlouis and Kreshnic Krasniqi replace Rakish Bingham and Craig Tanner, 1-0.

88′ SUBSTITUTION FOR EBBSFLEET- Mike West replaces Lee Martin due to injury, 1-0.

93′ Ebbsfleet launch the ball into the box but the effort is way too high and sails out of play- It would appear Leyton Orient have done enough to hang onto their lead as that was surely the last chance for an equaliser from the visitors, 1-0.

Leyton Orient progress to the second round of the FA Cup with their 1-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United who gave them a tough 90 minutes. They just could not find the net, however.
