Crawley Town hosts Hollywood’s “favourite football team” in a top end table clash at a sellout Broadfield stadium.
The last time these 2 sides met was way back in 2011 where the game finished 0:0. Much has changed since, with Wrexham being taken over by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and a Disney series having been created for the oldest Welsh club.Embed from Getty Images
Both sides we be looking to snatch a win after Crawley’s midweek defeat to Doncaster and Wrexham’s 0:0 draw with Mansfield town. Crawley come into the game with slightly better form having won 4 of their last 5 games while Wrexham have won just 2.
However this will be a different experience for Crawley with Camera’s filming scenes for the third season of Welcome To Wrexham.
When speaking about the cameras Crawley town manager Scott Lindsey said “My players won’t notice any of that. I can guarantee that. We will just be focusing on playing a game of football against a good side.”Embed from Getty Images
Lindsey is adamant he and his team “will just be focusing on playing a game of football”. “He also recognises that they’ve got some very good players. They’ve got some attacking threats, obviously. They’re talked about a lot. They’ve come into the league haven’t got an incredible amount of points last season in the National League. They’ve started this season kind of indifferent in many ways, but they’re a very strong side and we’re going to have to be completely focused.”
