Despite Spurs taking an early lead through Dejan Kulusevski, a penalty converted by Cole Palmer and a late hat trick from Nicolas Jackson for Chelsea meant that the away side took the points in a game that was dominated by everything other than the goals.

Raheem Sterling had a goal ruled out for handball, but in the same check VAR also looked for a red card for Cristian Romero where he kicked out at Levi Colwill. After a goal from Moises Caicedo was ruled out for offside, a penalty and a red card was given for a high tackle by Romero on Enzo Fernandez.

There was a serious chance of a red card for Destiny Udogie when he jumped into a two-footed tackle on Sterling. He got away with a yellow, only to see a second yellow in the second half for another challenge on Sterling.

A nightmare end to their unbeaten run for Spurs, despite a fantastic effort from the nine men left on the pitch.
