Home   /   Chargers look to turn fortunes around in Kansas City.

Two of the NFL’s most exciting quarterbacks go head-to-head on October 22nd, as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs welcome Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers to Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City have picked up where they left off last season, having won Superbowl LVII – currently sitting at a 5-1 record and first place in the AFC West.

The Chargers on the other hand sit with a record of 2-3. Well below expectations for a team that was viewed as the Chief’s biggest threat in the AFC West.

Despite a disappointing outing in a 20-17 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys, Herbert has had a respectable season so far. The Chargers QB has amassed 1,333 passing yards, thrown for nine touchdowns to only two interceptions.

Los Angeles are also the fifth-best passing offense with 259 yards per game, while Kansas City sit at second with 263 yards per game.

One to watch would be the Chiefs defense, who have allowed points on just 15/61 drives this season – ranking second in the NFL.

Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr described the unit as the “best defense in the National Football League.”

Chargers will be without Deon Leonard and Alohi Gilman. Justin Watson is unavailable for the Chiefs.
