Home   /   Ademola Stars In Dominant Eastbourne Win

Eastbourne Town Demolished Midhurst and Easebourne in the Sussex Senior Cup at the Saffrons.

Goals from Dan Rogers, Arron Hopkinson, Aaron Capon, Leke Ademola, Jack Samways and Fletcher Holman completed a 6-0 victory for the Stags.

The star of the night was substitute Ademola. The young starlet was given high praise by the chairman Tony Guarino and the under 18’s manager beforehand and he didn’t disappoint. The striker scored the fourth goal, assisted the fifth and was a constant threat throughout the second half. Guarino explained before the game that the striker was being looked at by a number of clubs, including Chelsea and it is easy to see why.

The Stags had put the game out of sight by halftime with three first half goals, including a beautiful nonchalant finish into the top corner from Hopkinson for the second of the night.

The goal of the night came from Samways in the 60th minute as he lobbed the keeper from 30 yards to make it five for Eastbourne.

John Lambert would have been delighted with his teams performance and the amount of control they had. However, The Stags could easily have scored more goals if they were a bit more clinical and buried the many chances that they missed. The home side used the ball brilliantly throughout and were very quick to get the ball forward and in behind the Midhurst and Easebourne defence.

The Stags go into the hat for the next round of the Sussex Senior cup, aiming to get to the final at the Amex.
