The West Indies will look to bounce back from their comprehensive defeat against England in the First T20 International by levelling the series at Kensington Oval.

England raced to a comfortable eight-wicket victory, chasing the West Indies’ target of 183 with 3.1 overs remaining, thanks to an unbroken 107 run partnership between Phil Salt (103*) and Jacob Bethell (58*).

The hosts will be aiming to silence their critics from the first game, who questioned their intent to keep on playing aggressively, despite wickets falling regularly.

West Indies captain Rovman Powell reiterated their desire to play in a similar way post game, which suggests that the West Indies will approach the second T20 International with the same intent.

The quick turnaround may suit their opponents though, as England will be looking to ride the wave of their momentum from a brilliant victory.

Wins and particularly series wins have been hard to come by for them in T20 International cricket recently and they will be desperate to reach Saint Lucia with a 2 – 0 series lead.

They may also be focusing on getting individual players back into form, most noticeably Jos Buttler and Will Jacks, who failed in the first game.
