Home   /   Seagulls push for third

Brighton has been flying so far this season and head into their clash at the Amex this afternoon, as favourites against opponents, West Ham.

Thanks to seasoned additions in the form of England internationals, Nikita Parris and Frank Kirby, the seagulls have started strong. After finishing ninth last season, they currently sit third after seven games, and aim to stay there, but West Ham will be looking to cause an upset.

The East London side have had a slow start to their WSL season, registering only one win in seven, and currently sit in ninth place with five points on the board, but could go three games without a loss against Brighton for the first time in the top league.

The last meeting between the two sides ended in a lackluster 0-0 draw, but this matchup promises much more action. Brighton has an impressive scoring record this season, putting 11 goals in the back of their opponent’s net.

West Ham look to improve upon their scoring record, having managed only four goals so far. Brighton seeks to capitalise on West Ham’s poor form and close the gap between themselves and the top two.
