Washington Football Team
This team is my favourite to hold the number one overall pick for the draft this season, although I don’t think it will be Dwayne Haskins’ fault. While Haskins did have a disappointing rookie campaign, he still has the potential to get past that and become a decent starter. Besides Terry McLaurin and the defensive line, which is stacked, the rest of the team is not in a good place. They were unable to keep hold of Trent Williams, meaning the offensive line will continue to be below average, and the back seven on the defence just won’t scare anyone.
Star Player: Terry McLaurin, Wide Receiver
Key Addition: Chase Young, Edge Rusher
Record: 2-14. Washington will hold claim to the number one pick in the 2021 draft. Even if Haskins does play well, it would be a big move for Washington to trade that pick and give up the chance of getting Trevor Lawrence to replace him.
