Watford v Crystal Palace: FA Cup Quarter Final Preview

Watford and Crystal Palace will fight for a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup this Saturday when the two teams meet at Vicarage Road. Javi Gracia’s side have impressed in the domestic competition this season and have not yet conceded a single goal.

The Hornets defeated Woking 2-0 in the third round before clinching another 2-0 win at Newcastle United. In their most recent FA Cup outing, they came away from Queens Park Rangers with a 1-0 victory.

Crystal Palace,  boast an identical defensive record and haven’t conceded in their first three fixtures of the competition. Roy Hodgson has seen his side advance to the final eight following a 1-0 win over Grimsby Town, a surprise 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur, and another recent 2-0 triumph away at Doncaster Rovers.

Watford have a clean bill of health for this game, with Miguel Britos now fit and available. For the visitors, Mamadou Sakho is sidelined following a minor knee operation. Bakary Sako is a doubt for the clash.

The two sides have already met both times in the Premier League this season. Watford won the encounters at home and at Selhurst Park 2-1, securing six points from a possible six against the Eagles. Crystal Palace will hope to avenge their previous defeats on Saturday as they look to come away from Vicarage Road with a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
