Ten Ways To Make Your Skin Better

By Rath Ganeshalingam

If you feel your skin is going through a rough patch right now and needs some extra help, follow these 10 tips and get healthy and glowing skin.

Tip 1: Lemon, honey, turmeric face mask

This face mask will help give you radiant and glowing skin, as well as reducing dark spots, toning the skin and reducing pores.

Tip 2: Toothpaste on spots

Toothpaste can dry up your spots and can reduce redness and size, making them less noticeable. Applying a bit on your spot and leaving it overnight can be very effective.

Tip 3: Yogurt and honey face mask

Yogurt can give your skin the hydro boost it needs, simultaneously reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It will also tighten up your pores and make your skin glow from within.

Tip 4: Green tea and coconut oil scrub

Mix three tablespoons of green tea with one table spoon of coconut oil and apply it to your skin for around 15 minutes. After, massage it in your skin, which will help exfoliate and get rid of dead skin cells.

Tip 5: Aloe Vera gel

Aloe Vera gel can help reduce spots and can soothe your skin. Using it as a moisturiser can help with redness and irritation.

Tip 6: Coconut oil

Coconut oil can help with anti-aging and can fight pre mature wrinkles. Gently moisturising coconut oil around your eye area will help prevent dryness and aging.

Tip 7: Water and sunscreen

Two basic things you should be doing for your skin is drinking water (around two litres a day) and applying sunscreen whenever you go outside. Water will keep your sin hydrated and sunscreen will prevent harmful UV rays damaging your skin.

Tip 8: Vitamin C supplements

Vitamin C has many antioxidant properties that will benefit your skin and can also restore collagen, reduce the appearance of fine lines and brighten up dark spots.

Tip 9: Clean diet

A clean diet can help your skin a lot, such as avoiding sugary foods and drinks and fast food. Instead try consuming more fruits, vegetables and fatty fish. Fatty fish, such as salmon and herring contain omega 3 fatty acids that will strengthen your skin and keep it moisturised.

Tip 10: Skin care routine

Having a daily skin care routine is essential, and it should at least include a toner, a moisturiser, sunscreen and eye cream. Serums and oils are great to include too. Sensitive skin might not react well to having different products on it everyday. Therefore, sticking to a simple skin care routine can help calm your skin.
