Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

It’s that time of the year again, as the final Star Wars instalment is released, with Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.

The film was released on the 19th December. In its opening weekend, the blockbuster is set to make $450 million.

This is my personal review on the rise of skywalker, I will be trying to avoid spoilers.

I have been looking forward to this film since Episode VII came out, the begging of the trilogy always gets you ready for the ending of that same trilogy.

This episode wraps up the story that started with a Scavenger, Stormtrooper, a droid, and a resistance pilot, who were all escaping the first order, played by being Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) and BB-8.

Episode IX was a fitting ending to the new trilogy, and J.J.Abrams did an incredible job to wrap up the story in a way that has a feel to the originals but not close enough that you would expect it to happen, packed with action and a lot more space than most the other movies, I think this is the perfect send off to this 42-year-old franchise.

We will have to wait and see as to whether they decide to continue it, but what I would recommend is over the Christmas break is getting to the cinema and watching Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.
