REPORT: Portland Trail Blazers 115 Miami Heat 99

Miami Heat suffered a loss on the road when they faced the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night.

Miami had just come off the back of two big wins last week when they beat both the Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Goran Dragic led the way for Miami on Monday, as he came out the game with an impressive 23 points, followed up with two assists and two rebounds. Justice Winslow racked up 15 points, four assists and 13 rebounds while Tyler Johnson was effective from the three-point line as he delivered four shots from downtown, including an epic comeback shot midway through the fourth quarter.

Significantly, two key players from the Heat were on the bench. Hassan Whiteside sat out due to left-hip pain and recently returned Miami legend Dwayne Wade was still suffering from a left hamstring strain which he sustained during Sunday’s game against Washington.

As for Portland, Damian Lillard was the star as he finished with 32 points, 10 assists and five rebounds. Jusuf Nurkic also had a remarkable game, compiling 27 points and an incredible 16 rebounds.

With Monday’s win, Portland extended their winning streak to 10 and currently sit third in the Western Conference. As for Miami, this loss has seen them drop back to eighth in the Eastern Conference.
