Mr Enninful, 45, has been in the fashion industry since the age of 16 when he was scouted on the London Underground to model. He has been working in the fashion industry in various positions and publications ever since.

Mr Enninful’s career has been fruitful to say the least. He was Fashion Director at i-D Magazine at the age of just 16 (which made him the youngest ever director at an international publication), Contributing Editor at Italian Vogue, Fashion Editor at American Vogue and Fashion and Style Director at W Magazine.

Now with his new position as editor-in-chief at British Vogue, he shows no signs of slowing down.

His very first British Vogue cover was unveiled on Tuesday, November 7. The fashion world knew that British Vogue would be very different with this modern new editor, and speculation has proved to be correct. On first glance, you’d suspect the December 2017 issue of Vogue was in fact a vintage edition of the magazine – the vibe, layout and colour palette suggests an older edition, similar to the January 1950 issue. But a sense of modernity stands out at first glance – a modernity that Vogue readers might not have seen for a while.

British model and activist Adwoa Aboah, 25, is the cover star for the December 2017 issue. The cover hints that the December issue revolves around the greatness and diversity of Great Britain. High-profile celebrities featured on the cover include: Zayn Malik, Naomi Campbell, Grace Coddington, Victoria Beckham, Sadiq Khan and Kate Moss. These people represent Great Britain in the best light, as does this issue of Vogue.
