Fantasy Football Week 11 round-up

By Matt Aldridge

A weekend full of goals in the Premier League meant there were plenty of points on show for the attackers in week 11.

Arsenal battled Liverpool to a thrilling draw at the Emirates, City stuck six past Southampton and West Ham overcame Burnley 4-2. Five of the games over the weekend had four or more goals, ensuring the action was must-watch.

Raheem Sterling racked up the highest points haul in a single haul of the season so far with 21.

Here are a few players to keep an eye on in the upcoming weeks.

Raheem Sterling

The Manchester City forward has been a revelation in the Premier League this season, with six goals and five assists to his name already.

Despite his fantastic week this season he is falling under the radar of a majority of fantasy gaffers. Only 7.8% of players currently have Sterling in their squad as of writing.

Should he keep up his current form, his value of £11.1m would be well worth it.

Alvaro Morata

After a turbulent start to the season, this could be the moment that everything finally clicks for Alvaro Morata at Chelsea.

The Spanish forward scored a brace against Crystal Palace over the weekend and looked to have gotten his mojo back, especially after his attempted lob of Wayne Hennessey  while on a hat-trick late on in that game.

Morata has five goals this season matching Mo Salah’s output despite costing £4.3m less.

With Olivier Giroud not scoring for Blues since May, it’s looking like a safe bet that Morata will retain his place in the starting eleven.

Mauricio Sarri’s side create a lot of chances so Morata will continue to have opportunities to get on the scoresheet.

Richarlison

Richarlison continued his fine vein of goalscoring form with a brace against Brighton at Goodison Park on Saturday, his second being especially delightful.

The Brazilian collected 15 points this week, second only to Sterling’s 21 points.

Despite a tough away fixture at Stamford Bridge coming up at the weekend, Richarlison is available for a bargain £6.8m.

A good number of fantasy managers agree: he is in 26% of teams.

Kasper Schemeichel

After tragedy struck, Leicester managed to earn an emotionally charged victory over Cardiff at the weekend with Kasper Schmeichel keeping a clean shirt.

The Foxes face Burnley, Brighton, Watford and Fulham in the next four fixtures, offering them with some winnable games.

Schmeichel has only been selected by 5% of fantasy football players while 16.5% have David De Gea in his team, despite the Spaniard having two less points. The Manchester United stopper also costs £5.8m as opposed to the £5m of Schemichel.

Lewis Dunk

Lewis Dunk is an under the radar defensive option. With Brighton keeping three clean sheets in a row before the defeat to Everton at the weekend.

Cardiff, Leicester, Huddersfield, Crystal Palace and Burnley are next sides that await the Seagulls, making Dunk look like a great option at only £4.4m.

The center back also scored at Goodison Park, something Brighton’s defenders are always liable to do.
