Tweet Former Major League Baseball star Roy Halladay has died in a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico. The Denver-born pitcher was 40. Halladay spent 12 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2010, spending his final four seasons there.
