Russia banned from Winter Olympics

Tweet The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has decided to ban Russia from participation in next year’s Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, following the doping scandal from Sochi 2014. Furthermore, the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) was ordered to pay £15 million fine. Although, ROC has been suspended, clean Russian athletes will be allowed to compete at the Olympics under a neutral flag and anthem.
