Adore Delano didn’t drag out their performance

Brighton is known for it’s welcoming nature to the LGBT+ community and drag queens love to perform at Brighton’s biggest gay club, Revenge. Season 6 runner up on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Adore Delano graced the Revenge stage to a sold out club after four local drag queens lit up the stage before Delano. However, Delano’s show only lasted roughly 15 minutes and left many fans confused.

The first drag queen was scheduled to perform at 8pm and the event, held by Eventbrite, was to end at 1am the next day but many left at 10:20pm after Adore Delano left the stage which was quickly dismantled.

After Adore released their third studio album, Whatever, in August of this year, fans were expecting a drag show mixed in with a concert. That, however, was not the case.

Performing “Negative Nancy”, “Adam’s Apple”, “27 Club” and “Pretty Boys Cry”, Adore Delano thanked the crowd before existing the stage. As the 29th of September is Danny Noriega’s, AKA Adore Delano, Revenge brought out a birthday cake as the crowd sung “Happy Birthday” which was then the cue for the end of the show.

Tickets sold out in May of this year with a £21 fee for a standard ticket and £50+ to meet Adore herself which was then made clear that people with the Meet & Greet ticket ran up the time to 1am.

Fans who paid the less amount left feeling shocked that their “night out” ended at 10pm and many went home instead of staying out due to disappointment.

However, on a good note, Delano performed her songs effortlessly; encouraging the crowd to sing louder, dancing with audience members and running through the crowd to party with everyone.
