A ‘thanks’ from the national lottery

Saying ‘thanks’ to their funding, anyone with a National Lottery ticket or a scratchcard can opt to go into the 400 National Lottery-funded heritage attractions across the UK also they are offering other treats and discounts.

The organisations include in participation are: The Roman Baths, Bath; Portsmouth Historic Dockyard; Lincoln Cathedral; and Royal Academy.

Thanks to the National Players, the pounds sterling 7.7 billion of funding awarded to more than 42,000 heritage projects since 1994. For this reason, from 11 to the 17 of December heritage activities will be taken part in the selected visitor attractions that have received a funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

For the people who arrive with National Lottery ticket or a scratchcard could take advantage of the free offers and also they can have a discount in the gift shops, a coffee etc. Times and details can be modifying and limits to the offer as well.

Organisations are still signing up to participate. At the moment there are more than 400, but the final figure is yet to be settled.

Examples of free offers include: free entry to the Roman Baths, Bath, on Wednesday December 13; free entry to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for the whole week; a free hot beverage at Stonehenge for the whole week; and a free tree giveaway at the Woodland Trust’s Skipton Woods Christmas Fayre in the Yorkshire Dales.
